Summarize CTI

Here’s a quick automation that helps you digest those long CTI (cyber threat intelligence) emails that hit your mailbox daily. Using Microsoft’s Power Automate and OpenAI’s GPT you can build a cloud flow that triggers when an email with a certain subject arrives in your inbox. Strip the HTML from the email body to reduce its size and pass that result to GPT for summarization and to highlight any topics relevant to your business. Below is a picture of a cloud flow with the details of the GPT action so you can see an example of the prompt. The second image is the final email. Notice the red text which GPT highlighted to match the prompt.

You can get a lot more detailed with your prompt, describing what you are and are not interested in. Don’t forget to tell GPT to format your results to make it readable. You need an account to leverage OpenAI’s API and GPT. Just keep an eye on your usage but won’t cost a lot if you are sending a handful of emails a day for summarization
